Gabriela’s path began with undergraduate studies at Florida State University, followed by rigorous clinical training at Howard University, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she developed strong clinical skills and a profound respect for the patients and families who trusted her during their most vulnerable moments. She became known for her calm, reassuring presence — and for explaining complex medical issues in a way that empowers patients to take charge of their health.
She began her career delivering high-quality, compassionate care to medically underserved, underinsured, and uninsured patients in North Carolina, ensuring they received the dignified healthcare they deserved. For nearly a decade she dedicated her career to these patients across North Carolina and Florida — diagnosing and managing life-threatening and non-life-threatening illness and injury, and counseling patients on preventing chronic disease.
As her career progressed, she noticed a troubling pattern: too many people were falling through the cracks of the traditional healthcare system. Long wait times, transportation barriers, lack of insurance, and limited access kept patients from timely support. Determined to change that, she founded Abundant Life Healthcare, PLLC — a telehealth practice built on the belief that quality healthcare should meet patients where they are with secure video visits, smartphone access, and encrypted messaging, in a safe, convenient, and confidential space.
Her mission is deeply personal. She believes that the mission to heal the world begins right here in our own communities, by ensuring quality healthcare is accessible and affordable for everyone. She is especially compassionate about serving medically underserved, underinsured, and uninsured populations — individuals who often bear the heaviest burdens with the fewest resources. Today, Abundant Life Healthcare, PLLC embodies her vision of a modern, patient-centered healthcare model — one that combines clinical excellence with empathy, accessibility, and dignity.

A tribute
This practice is inspired by memories of my maternal grandfather, grandmother, mother, aunt, and brother — and their battles with complex health conditions, cancer, heart disease, and heart failure. It exists so that no family faces those moments without care.
