Medicine is most effective when it meets the whole person — treating root causes, not just symptoms.
Dr. Danny Firth completed both his undergraduate education and medical degree at the University of Florida, before training in Family Medicine at the University of Arizona. During his residency, he pursued a three-year longitudinal curriculum in integrative medicine through the prestigious Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine — one of the most respected programs in the country for evidence-based integrative care.
Dr. Firth has held academic appointments with both the Mayo Clinic and the University of South Florida, and has served as Family Medicine Department Chair. His passion for education extends beyond the exam room — he is dedicated to teaching patients and healthcare providers alike, believing that an informed patient is an empowered one.
The early part of his career was devoted to caring for hospitalized patients — getting them stable enough to return to their communities. That experience gave him a firsthand view of where the traditional sick-care model falls short. He saw patients cycle in and out of hospitals when the real opportunity was upstream: preventing the crisis before it arrived.
Today, Dr. Firth is passionate about helping patients optimize their health to truly thrive — not just survive. His integrative lens means he looks at the full picture: lifestyle, nutrition, prevention, and the most effective tools modern medicine offers.
As Medical Director, Dr. Firth works alongside Gabriela Harrison, MPAS, PA-C to set the clinical standards behind every telehealth visit at Abundant Life Healthcare — from how conditions are evaluated over video to when a patient should be guided toward in-person or emergency care instead. That oversight is what lets the practice offer same-day virtual visits without cutting corners on safety: every protocol is grounded in the same evidence-based approach he brought to his hospital and academic work.
